Semi-truck accident sends two to hospital
A two-vehicle accident in Woodford County involving a car and a semi-truck sent two people to the hospital. The accident occurred last Thursday afternoon at around 1:30 P.M..
According to the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department, 71-year old Edward Kamm was traveling in the northbound lanes of Route 117 when he crossed over the center lane and into oncoming traffic. Kamm’s vehicle then collided head-on with a semi-truck near County Road 475 North. The semi-truck, driven by 40-year old Rodney Siegel, jack-knifed and hit a third vehicle, driven by 36-year old Nicholas Goede.
Kamm was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria and was listed as being in fair condition. A passenger in Goede’s vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was treated at Eureka Hospital.
