A 31-year-old Champaign man is currently in jail on a $1 million bond, in relation to charges stemming from the drug distribution sting. Police located the individual after following the GPS that was installed in his vehicle. The drugs that were seized during the arrest are said to be worth approximately $400,000.

The man has been charged with unlawful possession of illegal narcotics, unlawful possession of a firearm, and the intent to deliver illegal drugs. Champaign police allege that the man was distributing drugs at two different homes in the Champaign area. His next appearance in court has been scheduled for May 30.

The theft occurred at the Central Illinois Credit Union when two masked males entered the building. One of the men flashed a handgun, and ordered four employees, and one customer to lay on the ground. The men exited the building with an unknown amount of money, and no one was injured.

The ex-boxer, Hector “Macho” Camacho, turned himself in to Florida authorities after he learned of a warrant that was circulating asking for his arrest. The charges, in relation to the warrant, deal with a fight that Camacho had with one of his sons. No specific details were given about the fight, but a neighbor had called the police after she heard an argument in the front yard of the home.
