Ezequiel Garcia, a California Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, shot his superior, Kevin Kozak, six times during an argument at the Long Beach, CA immigration office.

Kozak and Garcia were supposedly in a heated discussion in a counseling session about Garcia’s performance when he opened fire with a service weapon and shot Kozak six times.  Another agent near the scene shot and killed Garcia to prevent further shots at Kozak.  Kozak was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

The F.B.I. is still investigating the incident, and special agent in charge for I.C.E. in Los Angeles, Claude Arnold, stated, “We are doing everything humanly possible to understand why it happened and ensure it will not happen again.”
