A Champaign man has now been charged with a DUI after accident that left a child seriously injured.
According to court officials, the accident occurred in 2011 and the man was charged with aggravated drunk driving as well as obstruction of justice for lying to police officials.
After the collision, a 1-year-old boy was in the hospital for nearly two months and doctors have stated that he may have permanent learning delays as a result. The driver’s blood alcohol content was measured to be at 0.188 after the collision.
